A couple years ago, my wife got into a recycling frenzy. Not a bad thing, although the toilet paper got a little rough. The worst thing was probably the worm composter in our garage, which had a tendency to overflow with nasty brown liquid — perfect for our garden, but our dog liked to roll in it before jumping into our bed for the evening. Yum. Needless to say, we’ve started looking for new ways to recycle.

They range from the incredibly pragmatic such as converting a Boeing 747 into a hostel or using Heineken bottles to build a Buddhist temple to the more artful such as fashioning dresses out of coffee filters.
